Sonya Ostovar

As managing partner of Taylor & Ring in Manhattan Beach, California, Sonya Ostovar stands as a formidable advocate for plaintiffs across the Los Angeles area. Over the course of her legal career, Ms. Ostovar has achieved remarkable success fighting for the rights of survivors of childhood sexual abuse and sexual assault. Her noteworthy courtroom advocacy includes securing a landmark $8 million settlement for a teenager abused by a coach. Furthermore, she was instrumental in obtaining a historic settlement exceeding $46 million against the city of Santa Monica on behalf of a class of sexual abuse victims.

Ms. Ostovar graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy before earning her Juris Doctor from the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. While at law school, she served as senior editor of the Dispute Resolution Law Journal and earned a certificate from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. She was admitted to practice law in California in 2015.
