Mary C. Molinaro

Mary C. Molinaro is the founding attorney of The Law Office Of Mary C. Molinaro. She assists the residents of Sacramento, Placer, Yolo and El Dorado counties, California, with their family law matters. With more than 25 years of experience, she primarily handles cases involving divorce (including, collaborative divorce and divorce mediation), custody out-of-state issues, child support, spousal support, assets and debt division, post-judgment modifications, and tax issues related to divorce. In addition to litigation, she devotes her practice to collaborative law and mediation. 

Ms. Molinaro graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Sonoma State University. She pursued her interest in the legal profession at the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 1990. She was admitted to The State Bar of California the same year she graduated. Highlighting her proficiency in her practice areas, she is a certified family law specialist (CFLS) by The State Bar of California. Prioritizing compassion and transparency in her legal approach, she ensures to put forward a client-centric practice that honors her clients’ interests and needs.

An active member of the California legal sphere, Ms. Molinaro holds a multitude of leadership and membership roles with many esteemed legal organizations. Furthermore, she is appreciated for the activities she oversees for promoting community involvement with her practice areas. Some of her most significant contributions include co-founding two nonprofit organizations that are Sacramento Children’s Fund and Strive2Free. She is also the founder of the Kobayashi Award, an annual accolade that recognizes individuals who make significant contributions to the family law field. 

Ms. Molinaro’s tenacity and commitment to client satisfaction are acknowledged by many prestigious institutions such as the Best Lawyers and the Sacramento Magazine. A prolific writer, she is the co-author of the book “Child Custody, a Practical Guide for Parents,” and is the co-founder and editor in emeritus of the Family Law Counselor.
