Sarah Elizabeth Kroll

Sarah Kroll is a senior associate in the firm’s Family Law practice. She is a resolute advocate for children and vulnerable individuals in Colorado. 

Prior to joining R&H, Sarah honed her legal practice by working on cases involving adoption, guardianship, custody, divorce, and dependency and neglect. Before transitioning to private practice, she provided legal representation and support services to Adams County children with families in crisis. 

Sarah’s background equips her with a unique understanding of the multifaceted issues pertaining to high-conflict dispute resolution and long-term family stability.

Representative matters: 

• Won Parental Rights Case Before the Colorado Supreme Court – Preserved a parent's right to determine their child’s mental health treatment without interference from the Department of Human Services. The case set a legal precedent for protecting family rights and parental autonomy in medical decision-making in Colorado.

• Secured Guardianship for a Relative Caregiver – Represented grandmother in a contested custody case, successfully demonstrating that guardianship was in the child’s best interest to ensure long-term stability and protection from an unsafe environment.

• Protected Client’s Business Interests During Divorce – Successfully negotiated a settlement that preserved the client’s business ownership while ensuring an equitable division of marital assets.

• Protected Domestic Violence Survivor and Secured Primary Custody – Obtained permanent protection order against abusive, manipulative partner by demonstrating the ongoing risk to the client and children. Also achieved primary custody for the client, sheltering the children from further harm.
