Georgine M. Kryda is the founder of Georgine M. Kryda, Ph.D., Esq., LLC, a law and mediation firm located in Golden, Colorado. Ms. Kryda advises and represents clients in estate and trust planning, administration, and litigation; federal and state tax issues and controversies; and mediation and arbitration. She also co-counsels with other attorneys in Colorado and throughout the U.S.

Ms. Kryda earned a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Economics and Business Administration from Knox College, a Master of International Management from Thunderbird, an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from North Central College, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After teaching international business, comparative management and strategic planning at the undergraduate and graduate levels, Ms. Kryda earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2007 and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver Graduate Tax Program in 2010. She is admitted to practice before all courts in Colorado and in the District of Columbia, as well as the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court.  

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 2014 and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) since 2015, Ms. Kryda has a separate practice devoted to tax return preparation and forensic accounting. Ms. Kryda is a member of the U.S. Supreme Court Bar, the D.C. Bar, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the American Academy of Attorney-CPAs. She is an active participant in the Colorado Bar Association (CBA), serving on several committees in the Trusts & Estates Section as well as Chair of, and Scholarship Chair on, the Executive Council of the Taxation Section. Ms. Kryda volunteers as a mediator/arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau of Denver/Boulder. Ms. Kryda writes the quarterly federal tax update for the CBA’s Trusts & Estates Section newsletter, has a chapter in The Colorado Estate Planning Handbook, presents various estate planning and tax issues to professional and community groups, and has been published in The Colorado Lawyer.
