Babar Waheed won his first district court jury trial in the first week that the Colorado Supreme Court swore him in to practice law. Beginning with that first jury trial, Babar has committed to representing the people against the powerful, the courageous against corporations, and the injured against insurance companies. Today, Babar is a partner at Denver’s personal injury law firm, Dan Caplis Law.

Results

Babar thrives in high-stakes injury litigation matters. He secured a $1.2 million judgment for a client who suffered a head injury caused by a drunk driver in Denver. In another case, shortly before a scheduled jury trial, Babar successfully secured a $1 million recovery of the insurance policy limits on behalf of a pedestrian struck by a car.

Babar, alongside Dan Caplis, represented a brother and sister after a transport company driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a family’s vehicle at 75 miles per hour, tragically killing both parents and causing serious injuries to the siblings. The jury awarded what is the largest trucking verdict in Colorado history, exceeding $25 million.

Babar Waheed’s commitment to individuals, families, and the community is not limited to his practice of law at Dan Caplis Law. His volunteer experience includes time with the Colorado Legal Committee and Denver Legal Night, an open house where volunteer attorneys provide free legal information to people who cannot afford legal services. Babar is a former volunteer with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Colorado and Aurora Youth Options.
