Mr. Kaplan currently serves as chairperson of the Young Philanthropists of Baptist Hospital and is a former member of the organization's steering committee. He is also highly active with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, having served as chair of vice chair on a number of its committees and receptions, and he is a member of The Florida Bar's Grievance Committee. He is also a member of the United Way Tocqueville Society, and he once served as director-at-large for the University of Miami Alumni Association.
