With extensive experience in litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution, I bring a strategic and practical approach to handling complex construction and real estate disputes, as well as business litigation matters. Known for navigating challenging cases while maintaining a focus on budget and results, I have earned the trust of business owners, property management groups, and investor clients.
At Winter Capriola Zenner, I serve as a strategic advisor to clients facing commercial disputes, including those involving real estate development, construction issues, and business torts. My approach is practical, results-driven, and focused on protecting the broader business interests behind each case, whether through litigation, arbitration, or negotiated resolution.
I have extensive experience with large-scale construction matters, including the pursuit and defense of claims related to defective construction, project delays, contract disputes, prompt-pay violations, and lien enforcement. I frequently represent condominium associations, property owners’ associations, and investor/owners in litigation against developers, general contractors, and subcontractors, recovering millions of dollars in damages. I also defend clients in similarly high-stakes construction disputes.
My commercial litigation practice also includes a wide range of business torts, such as fraud, business divorces, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of corporate assets, and embezzlement. I work with corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, developers, and contractors involved in complex, sensitive legal matters.
A veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, I served as a vehicle commander and dismounted team leader, participating in over 250 combat missions across central Iraq and helping to train and equip the new Iraqi Army.
Outside of the courtroom, I enjoy mentoring colleagues and giving back through professional and veteran-focused networks. I believe in clear, direct communication and collaborative problem-solving. These qualities allow me to deliver strong advocacy and dependable support, no matter how complex the dispute.
