Attorney Profile

Nancy Castor Sprattlin has more than 15 years of experience litigating employment cases and advising employers about their workplace obligations. Nancy spent several years and gained invaluable litigation and trial experience as a defense litigator at prominent firms in New York and Georgia, including Greenberg Traurig LLP, Epstein Becker & Greene LLP, and Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker. She has represented clients throughout the United States, including Fortune 500 companies, hospitals and other organizations, in employment disputes including litigation of multi-party cases, class and collective actions involving federal and state anti-discrimination laws, minimum wage and overtime statutes, the WARN Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and employment related torts in federal and state courts.

After more than 10 years at those prominent firms, Nancy launched her own firm in 2011, now known as Castor Sprattlin Law Group LLC, serving as the go-to employment counsel for small to medium-sized companies in various industries.  Her practice focuses on (a) employment defense litigation; (b) counseling of management on best employment practices; (c) investigating harassment, discrimination, retaliation and other employment related claims; (d) drafting, reviewing and negotiating employment contracts, nondisclosure agreements, and severance agreements; e) developing and reviewing employment policies; and (f) pre-litigation resolution of employment claims.

Nancy has been successful not only in defending her clients in employment litigation but also in designing effective strategies geared toward minimizing conflict and avoiding litigation. She regularly performs wage and hour audits, and reviews employment practices in identifying areas of non-compliance.  Nancy advises and assists executives and professionals in negotiating employment and severance agreements, including nondisclosure agreements and other restrictive covenants.

In addition to Employment Law, Nancy also practices Wills & Trusts and assists business owners, professionals and their families in Georgia and New York with their wills, trusts and other estate planning needs.  Nancy is admitted to practice in Georgia, New York, and New Jersey.
