An active affiliate with prominent legal associations, Mr. Stein is passionate about giving back to society and has served as a member of the board of directors for the Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program; Develop New Albany; the Help-Ad, Incorporated; the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute and the Floyd County Youth Shelter. 

Mr. Stein has also served as president of the Floyd County Community Corrections and chairman of the Indiana Horseracing Commission. He co-founded Lifespring Mental Health Services, which focuses on providing mental health and primary care services, for which he currently serves as a board member.
