Carly H. Babi

Carly H. Babi is a dedicated attorney at The Boss Attorney in Royal Oak, Michigan, serving areas including Oakland, Wayne and the Ann Arbor metro. Her practice focuses on criminal defense, civil infractions, expungements, federal crimes and DUI cases.

Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Ms. Babi spent summers in Mexico City, enriching her cultural perspective. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in political science and Spanish from Wayne State University in 2013, followed by a Juris Doctorate and an M.B.A. from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2018. Her academic achievements were recognized with the George Bodurow Scholarship for outstanding performance.

Her legal experience spans various areas, including foreclosures, debt relief, family law, immigration and personal injury. Today, her practice primarily involves criminal defense at both state and federal levels, along with representing small businesses.

Throughout her career, Ms. Babi has shown a strong commitment to community service. She has volunteered with nonprofit organizations in Mexico City, advocating for the rights of underprivileged groups. In Detroit, she serves the Hispanic community by acting as a legal liaison for Spanish-speaking clients and hosting free legal clinics. Her role as a contract attorney for the Consulate of Mexico further underscores her dedication to this community.

While in law school, Ms. Babi gained valuable experience as a student attorney at Plymouth District Court, representing defendants who could not afford legal representation. She continues to serve as a public defender in various courts, including the 41A District Court in Shelby Township, the 48th District Court in Bloomfield Hills and the Oakland County Circuit Court. Her commitment to providing accessible legal assistance reflects her belief in justice and equality for all.
