As majority shareholder of Berens & Miller, P.A., Barbara Podlucky Berens represents clients throughout the country in complex litigation cases. Ms. Berens is admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota, and before the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. In 1975, she graduated magna cum laude from State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts in Major Philosophy. At the University of Minnesota Law School, the also earned her Juris Doctor, and was Managing Editor of the Minnesota Law Review.
She then attended the University of St. Thomas, where she earned her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. A member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, she is also actively involved with the American Bar Association and is the former vice-chair of the immunities & Exceptions Committee of the Antitrust Section of the organization.
A member of the American Inns of Court, Ms. Berens is also former chairperson of Lex Alumnae, the University of Minnesota Law School’s Women’s Alumni Organization. She also served for six years on the Advisory Committee on Local Rules for the United States District Court of Minnesota. Along with her extensive experience as a successful attorney, she worked as a former reinsurance broker and stockbroker before getting her law degree and has her Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses.
