A partner in Newsome O'Donnell, LLC, located in Florham Park, New Jersey, Lynn Fontaine Newsome has more than three decades of experience in family law, representing clients throughout the state of New Jersey in litigation and mediation involving divorce, property division, custody, spousal and child support, prenuptial agreements and order modification. She has been certified as a matrimonial law attorney by the Board on Attorney Certification appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey.

After receiving her bachelor's degree from Seton Hall University in 1977, Ms. Newsome went on to attend Seton Hall University School of Law and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1981. She was a partner at a well-known New Jersey family law firm prior to co-founding Newsome O'Donnell, LLC, in 2012. Admitted to practice in New Jersey, she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Ms. Newsome has earned several key recognitions during her career, including an AV Preeminent* rating from Martindale-Hubbell. In 2009, she received the Distinguished Service Award from the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education as well as the Samuel S. Saiber Professional Achievement Award from the Essex County Bar Association. A two-time recipient of the New Jersey State Bar Association's Distinguished Legislative Service Award, Ms. Newsome has also been honored by Volunteer Lawyers for Justice for her pro bono work.

A fellow of the American Bar Foundation, Ms. Newsome is an active participant in a variety of professional groups, including the American and New Jersey State bar associations and the American Association for Justice. A former president of the Morris County Bar Association, she continues to be a member of that organization as well as the Mercer County Bar Association.
