She is now admitted to practice in the state of New York and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

During her long, successful career, Ms. Aviles has served on the board of directors for the following organizations: Long Island University’s School of Paralegal Studies, the American Lung Association of Nassau/Suffolk Counties and the Nassau Suffolk Trial Lawyers Association. She is also executive board member, former officer and founding member of the Alexander Hamilton American Inns of Court.

Within the Suffolk County Bar Association, Ms. Aviles is a former member of the judicial screening committee, former chair of the insurance committee and a current member of the Supreme Court committee and the bench/bar committee. Her responsibilities include defense of municipal and corporate defendants in matters of premises liability, environmental litigation and construction litigation.
