Dana Cimera

Dana Cimera is an associate attorney at Fitapelli & Schaffer, LLP, in New York, New York. Ms. Cimera handles individual and class action lawsuits in matters involving failure to pay wages, overtime and commissions. Additionally, she assists with representing individuals in employment-related litigation involving breach of contract, discrimination, failure to accommodate disabilities, Family and Medical Leave Act violations, harassment, retaliation and wrongful discharge.

Ms. Cimera holds a license to practice law before the state courts of New York and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Outside of her law practice, she stays involved in her legal community through membership in the New York County Lawyers Association and the National Employment Lawyers Association. 

As an employment law attorney, Ms. Cimera provides dedicated and personal representation to each client. She works hard to protect the rights of working individuals and ensures the best possible outcome for their situation.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in finance from Rutgers University, Ms. Cimera earned her law degree from New York Law School. While pursuing her law degree, she belonged to the Center for Business and Financial Law and received a public interest certificate.

Earlier in her legal career and prior to joining Fitapelli & Schaffer, LLP, Ms. Cimera developed her legal skills and experience by serving as a research assistant for a professor. She also worked as an intern for a New York County Civil Court judge.
