Jason B. James

With a strong desire to offer customized solutions that are easily accessible to clients, Jason B. James co-founded James deNobriga, PLLC, in Charlotte, North Carolina. His practice revolves around providing solutions through litigation and alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation, arbitration and collaboration for clients in the fields of construction and design, intellectual property law and insurance coverage.

A mediator licensed by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission since 2008, Mr. James has mediated over 2,500 cases in both the state and federal courts. With extensive experience in all phases of construction, he has represented owners, developers, design professionals, general contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers in all issues arising from contract negotiation until the end of a project.

With an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University, Mr. James attended Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law to receive his Juris Doctor in 2001. Qualified to practice law in North Carolina state courts, he is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of North Carolina and the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.

A prominent member of legal organizations that connect him with colleagues, Mr. James remains actively involved in the North Carolina Bar Association’s Litigation Section Council and Construction Law Section and the American Bar Association’s Construction Law and Dispute Resolution Sections. He was the chairperson of the Mecklenburg County Bar Litigation Section and the Professionalism, LawyerLife and Culture Committee.

Mr. James is a part of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, an invitation-only association of highly regarded mediators and arbitrators. In addition to all the recognitions and endorsements he has received over his 20-plus years of service to the legal and local community, he has been featured in Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite Hall of Fame for Construction Law
