Daniel L. Deuterman

The chief executive officer and owner of Deuterman Law Group in Greensboro, North Carolina, attorney Daniel L. Deuterman founded his firm in 2003 with a vision to help workers who become injured or ill in the course of their employment. He understands that when an accident interrupts a family’s daily routine, it can cause significant uncertainty and stress, and fights to obtain justice on their behalf.

Over his career spanning 30 years, Mr. Deuterman has secured some record-setting verdicts and settlements in North Carolina, earning his inclusion in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Furthermore, he is certified as a specialist in workers’ compensation law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization, and he was named to The Best Lawyers in America in workers’ compensation law for multiple years in a row.

First admitted to practice in North Carolina in 1991, Mr. Deuterman has handled hundreds of high-profile workers’ compensation and catastrophic personal injury cases before the Supreme Court of North Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1987 followed by his Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1991.

Active in his community, Mr. Deuterman is a valuable member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ), the Greensboro Bar Association, the Guilford American Inn of Court, the North Carolina Bar Association and the Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group. He was the recipient of NCAJ’s Ebbie Award in 2011 for his commitment and services to the organization.

A supporter of a variety of social causes, Mr. Deuterman has gone above and beyond to deliver volunteer legal services to underserved communities. In 2008, he received the Power of Justice Impact Pro Bono Award by Business Leader and the North Carolina Bar Association. He also provides scholarships to students at the UNC School of Law.
