John D. Parsons

A partner at the law firm of Parsons Farnell & Grein, LLP, in Portland, Oregon, John D. Parsons has over 29 years of experience in the legal field. Focusing his practice on business and commercial law, he has a special focus on litigating cases involving limited liability companies, state and federal securities claims, corporate and partnership disputes, probate and trust, and construction contract and lien enforcement actions. 

Mr. Parsons has a family background of entrepreneurial experience, and therefore, he is able to understand his clients’ investment in and devotion to managing a business successfully. With a firm commitment to his clients’ needs and interests, he has an untiring zeal and dedication to fighting for their rights. Providing cost-efficient and valuable legal services, he keeps his clients informed through the entire process of their case. 

Graduating cum laude, Mr. Parsons has a bachelor’s degree from Utah State University. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School. Licensed to practice in the state of Washington and Oregon, Mr. Parsons is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court of Oregon, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. 

Mr. Parsons is an active participant in the field of law and has memberships in the American Bar Association, the Multnomah Bar Association, the Oregon State Bar Association, the Washington Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. He is also active in his community and is a member of the BYU Management Society and was a member of the Southridge High School Lacrosse Board of Directors and Utah State University Alumni Association. He co-founded the Southridge Skyhawks Youth Lacrosse, Inc. and also served as a basketball coach for youths.
