  • Verdict: Mackey v. Willow Terrace: elderly nursing home residents developed stage IV pressure wound to backside, as well as malnutrition and dehydration, resulting in death.  Verdict: $2.287 million compensatory damages, $500,000 punitive damages., 2011
  • Arbitration award: $96,514.67 Vuckovich v. Grane Healthcare Ms. Vuckovich developed severe pressure wounds (i.e. bed sores) to her backside and leg., 2015
  • Verdict: Finney v. Grane Healthcare: elderly nursing home resident developed bed sore, and blood clot resulting in leg amputation.  Verdict of $163,000., 2007
  • Arbitration award: $362,515.39 Shaw v. Grane Healthcare Mr. Shaw was brutally beaten by another nursing home resident, ultimately dying from the head injuries that he sustained., 2014
  • Verdict: Scampone v. Grane Healthcare.  Nursing home resident died from dehydration.  Verdict of $193,500 compensatory damages; punitive damages dismissed by trial court, but a new trial was ordered on punitive damages by the Pennsylvania Superior Court., 2007
