Scott C. Evans grew up in Summerville, South Carolina. Scott attended the Honors College of the College of Charleston, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2005. Scott graduated Summa Cum Laude and was named the Top Honor Graduate, ranking number one in his graduating class. Scott graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina School Of Law in 2008, and was ranked seventh in his law school class. During law school, Scott received the Order of the Coif, Order of the Wig and Robe, five CALI awards, and was a member of the Moot Court team for which he was awarded the Order of the Barristers. During law school Scott served as a judicial intern the Honorable Margaret Seymour, United States District Judge, and spent a year working as a law clerk for Richardson Patrick Westbrook & Brickman for the team handling the litigation surrounding the 2005 train derailment and chemical spill in Graniteville, South Carolina.
Following law school, Scott served as law clerk to the Honorable Terry L. Wooten, United States District Judge, District of South Carolina, from October of 2008 until October of 2010.
Scott joined the Bell Legal Group of Georgetown, South Carolina in 2010. During his time with the Bell Legal Group, Scott recovered over $20 million in jury verdicts and settlements for his clients in matters including a $1.5 million jury verdict in a medical malpractice/defamation action, a confidential settlement following an eight week products liability trial, a mass tort settlement of six federal products liability actions filed on behalf of 16 victims in two states who had been implanted with a counterfeit surgical product, and multiple successful state and federal wrongful death actions including cases against Wal-Mart, Ford Motor Company, an industrial conveyor belt manufacturer, various logging companies, South Carolina, and the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
