Kevin Colquitt

Kevin Colquitt is a managing partner at Sbaiti & Company PLLC in Dallas, Texas, where he represents businesses and individuals throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex in complex business and civil litigation. His practice encompasses a wide range of high-stakes matters from contentious business separations to multiparty construction-defect disputes and has produced recoveries and awards exceeding $100 million for his clients.

Mr. Colquitt has a particular depth of experience in False Claims Act litigation. Since beginning his legal career, he has continuously represented relators and defendants in FCA matters, cultivating practical familiarity with the regulatory and enforcement regimes that frequently underlie such cases, including FDA, Medicare, the Treasury Department, the Department of Defense, ITAR and USDA rules. He is skilled at untangling complex regulatory frameworks and identifying strategic avenues that advance clients’ objectives. Representative matters include: 

• Securing a $14 million settlement on behalf of whistleblowers in an FCA action against a national bank
• Obtaining a $6.25 million FCA settlement against an inpatient rehabilitation provider on behalf of a relator
• Achieving a $2.8 million jury verdict for a homeowner in a construction-defect trial
• Winning an $18.3 million arbitration award for a bankruptcy trustee in a fraud and negligent-misrepresentation dispute

Mr. Colquitt earned a B.B.A. from American Intercontinental University and studied at Georgetown University Law Center, receiving his J.D. in 2009. He was admitted to practice in Texas in 2010. An active member of the Dallas legal community, he serves on the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the Dallas Bar Association, where he assists in selecting speakers and topics for weekly seminars. He also contributes to the broader legal dialogue through presentations on the False Claims Act before the Dallas Bar Association and the American Association for Justice.
