Mr. Vinnakota had previously worked as a process engineer and was part of chemical plant design studies at major corporations. Before forming Janik Vinnakota LLP, Mr. Vinnakota was a partner in an intellectual property litigation firm and an associate in another law firm in Dallas. He has also taken on many cases pro bono. Dedicated to making a difference through education, Mr. Vinnakota has lectured at continuing legal education seminars in many universities and organizations.

He graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering. He earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, and was the articles and notes editor for the Texas International Law Journal. He belonged to the Tau Beta Pi and Omega Chi Epsilon fraternities.
