Details
The founding partner of Fleming | Nolen | Jez L.L.P. in Houston, Texas, George M. Fleming is a highly experienced and dedicated trial attorney. He established the company in 1981 with the aim of consistently offering reliable support and assistance to clients in cases related to aviation accidents, mass torts, product liability, car accidents, faulty medical devices and medications, and medical negligence.
One of his most notable successes is the mass tort property damage case, in which Mr. Fleming served as the lead trial lawyer. He tried this particular case to verdict several times for different clients and the case was finally settled for over two billion dollars. Adept in trials against aviation companies, he has been the lead counsel in lawsuits against several companies such as United Airlines, Boeing, Eastern Airlines and American Airlines.
A native of Texas, Mr. Fleming decides to pursue his undergraduate and law degrees from universities in Texas. He received his bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 1971. He was authorized to practice law in Texas the same year, and in the District of Columbia in 1974. He represents his clients in federal, state, appellate and national courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd, 5th, 7th and 11th Circuits, the Supreme Court of Texas and the U.S. Supreme Court.
With Mr. Fleming’s legal work discussed widely on national television and in newspapers, such as The New York Times, Forbes and the United Press International, he was recognized as one of America’s 50 Most Influential Lawyers by the Trial Lawyer Roundtable. His several multimillion-dollar verdicts have earned him a place in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is also peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell and holds a "Superb" 10/10 Avvo rating as well.
Mr. Fleming frequently engages in lectures and seminars on mass torts conducted by various associations such as the American Association for Justice, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the HarrisMartin seminars.
