    For more than two decades, Martha JP McQuade has been guiding families through legal situations including, but not limited to, premarital and antenuptial agreements, separation discussions, divorce, child custody, child and spousal support,  and/or property division . The managing partner at McQuade Byrum PLLC, she takes cases primarily in Northern Virginia including Alexandria, Arlington and the Fairfax area.

She is active in several local Bar Associations as well as the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Virginia Women Attorneys Association and the Women's Bar Association of the District of Columbia. She has also lectured extensively for a number of these groups, as well as the American Bar Association, and others. She also authored a chapter in the book published by the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession, "The Road To Independence." In addition, she serves on her Church Council and as a volunteer leader for ALIVE! (Alexandrians Living Ecumenically).
