Allan M. Allan is a Past President of the Trial Lawyers’ Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C. He currently serves on the Board of Governors of The American Association for Justice (AAJ), a national organization whose primary purpose is to promote the civil justice system in America.  He sits on the Board of the prestigious National College of Advocacy, which is responsible for planning educational programs for lawyers across the country.   He is a Past President of AAJ’s Bus Litigation Group, the current Treasurer of AAJ’s Trucking Litigation Group, and the Secretary of AAJ’s Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group.  He also has leadership positions with AAJ’s Ride Share Litigation Group and AAJ’s Distracted Driving Litigation Group.

Allan is a frequent lecturer across the country. Since 2023 he has been invited to speak in California, Colorado, Louisiana, Michigan, Nevada, South Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee about cases involving brain injury, truck crashes and bus crashes.

Education

Allan is a 1991 graduate of The George Washington University, where he graduated magna cum laude. Allan obtained his J.D. from The George Washington University’s National Law Center in 1994 where he graduated with honors. He is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.

Allan was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He met his wife Cindy, who is from St. Louis, Missouri, while in law school.  He currently resides with his wife in North Potomac, Maryland.
