    As a partner in the Seattle office of Lewis Brisbois, Benjamin J. Stone is committed to representing clients throughout the state of Washington in complex civil matters. He has a diverse practice, defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; handling environmental claims under CERCLA, RCRA, and MTCA for developers, landlords, and commercial tenants; representing contractors in a variety of construction-defect, property damage and personal injury claims; and representing debt collectors in class actions alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. 

    After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from the University at Albany, State University of New York in 1991, Mr. Stone went on to earn a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1995. During his time there, he was awarded the Academic Achievement Scholarship, was on Dean's List, and served as the managing editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law.

    With 20 years of experience, Mr. Stone has a deep understanding of complex civil litigation practice and procedure, be it an employment case in federal court, an environmental matter in state court, or a putative class action.  He has obtained a number of success in his career, including the dismissal of multiple employment claims, many of which have been affirmed on appeal. 

    Passionate about his work, Mr. Stone tenaciously litigates in the courtroom or negotiates to reach a settlement that is of the greatest advantage to his clients. In order to secure the best possible outcome for their case, he listens closely to his clients' goals. In addition, Mr. Stone believes that legal services should be affordable and he works to keep costs down.

    Active in the legal community, Mr. Stone is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the King County Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Stone is the author of several legal articles, and he has served as a presenter at conferences and seminars.
