Sarah B. Foley

Sarah B. Foley is a distinguished attorney at Foley IP Law, PLLC, located in Dallas, Texas. Her firm focuses on intellectual property law, including patents and trademarks. With a practice extending across Dallas, Ms. Foley has built a reputation for her vast knowledge in technology sectors such as software, hardware, networking and telecommunications.

Ms. Foley has spent over 17 years assisting clients in protecting their innovations, ranging from mobile device technology and Internet of Things (IoT) systems to AI, aerospace and robotics. Her journey into intellectual property law began on Capitol Hill, where she was inspired by her work with a U.S. House Representative involved in the IP Subcommittee of the Judiciary. This experience solidified her passion for IP law, which she pursued during her time at Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law. She also gained valuable experience as a law clerk at the Department of Justice and as a legal intern with the Department of Homeland Security.

After starting her career at a boutique IP firm, where Ms. Foley developed foundational skills and relationships, she then expanded her practice at a large national firm before co-founding her current firm in 2016. She has shared her insights at various conferences, including presentations on patent prosecution and the impact of remote work on IP protection. Her publications cover topics such as venue impacts of hybrid workplaces and copyright issues.
