Attorney Stephen E. Mindzak has dedicated himself to helping injured Ohio workers obtain workers' compensation benefits for over 26 years. Steve is committed to providing each of clients with responsive personal attention and professional representation at all times. His practice consists of helping clients with initial applications for benefits from the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, representing those clients in related hearings, handling denied claim appeals before the Industrial Commission of Ohio and, when necessary, in the state’s appellate courts.

Over the course of his career, Steve has successfully represented clients who have worked in manufacturing, industrial, service, transportation and office occupations. He has handled claims involving a wide range of work-related injuries, medical conditions and illnesses; and he has had extensive success with difficult cases other attorneys have refused to accept.

Steve has served as Special Counsel regarding workers' compensation issues for the United Auto Workers' Region 2-B.  He has successfully challenged legislation on behalf of the U.A.W. before the Ohio Supreme Court on several occasions.  Steve has also taught various facets of the workers' compensation school for the U.A.W. Leadership Representatives.

Steve has testified on numerous occasions before the Ohio Senate and House of Representatives on workers' compensation issues.  Steve also served as the Treasurer for the Committee to Stop Corporate Attacks on Injured Workers (the coalition group comprised of organized labor, attorneys, physicians, religious organizations, and others which were opposed to Issue 2 - Senate Bill 45) which was successful in having their referendum overturn the anti-worker legislation by the voters in Ohio.
