Attorney Profile

Brian S. Humphrey II is the owner of Houston-based Humphrey Law PLLC. He focuses his practice on complex civil litigation matters at both the trial and appellate levels, representing people and companies throughout Harris, Brazoria and Fort Bend counties and other parts of the region. Mr. Humphrey was admitted to practice in Texas in 2010, and, since that time, he has been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Southern, Western and Northern Districts of Texas; the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

A significant portion of Mr. Humphrey’s practice involves his representation of plaintiffs who have been harmed by the negligence of other parties. The types of personal injury and wrongful death claims that he has handled have included aviation crashes, medical malpractice, truck and other motor vehicle collisions and workplace accidents. In this regard, Mr. Humphrey has obtained millions of dollars in settlements and jury awards for his clients, including a verdict in excess of $6.5 million in a case involving dram shop liability.

Apart from the personal injury area, Mr. Humphrey has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of matters. His cases have encompassed shareholder and partner disputes, collections, contract breaches, insurance coverage, landlord-tenant matters and business torts, and he has obtained positive results for his clients.

Mr. Humphrey’s accomplishments in the courtroom and at the negotiating table have earned him a great deal of favorable recognition. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, both of which are invitation-only. He also has a “Superb” rating on Avvo and has been included on The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 list.
